New Meetup: Meditation and reading

Announcing a new Meetup for nature lovers' meetup!

What: Meditation and reading

When: December 2,[masked]:30 PM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

Meetup Description: You are welcome to a meditation and reading session at Julia's house in Fairlington on Dec 2.

The format is slightly different this time based on past experience. Main difference is that we won't be going to dinner afterwards (gets too late!) but instead there will be extended socializing time before and after. .

There will be a potluck supper. Please bring a light vegetarian snack. If you could please mention in your rsvp what you will be bringing.

There will also be about 10 minutes of quiet tea-time prior to meditation so that we may transition from conversation to meditation in a smooth way. If you arrive late please feel free to join us in silence.

I'll send out Julia's address and phone number to those who are planning to come, the day before the event. Send me or Julia an email if you need it earlier.

6.30 to 7.00: Potluck supper
7.00 to 7.15: Quiet Tea Time, transition to meditation
[masked]: meditation
7.45 to 8: Reading and Sharing
8 to 8.30: Social Time

You may bring a passage for reading, if you like. It could be anything that touched your heart, a poem, a story, or a personal anecdote. If it involves nature, that would be even better. Since it is veteran's day, let us include a prayer or remembrance for fallen soldiers in our meditation.

Hope to see you all on Dec 2!
