Fund Raising: Build an investible startup
"Building a business that can raise financing through investment is no easy task. In this seminar, you'll learn what types of traction, vision, and metrics venture capitalists and angel investors look for before committing to help you raise a seed or pre-seed round, and go-to-market product shortcuts to hit them. You'll look at the different types of customer segments you're reaching, your serviceable and addressable market size, and what systems you need in place for future growth in order to take advantage of the venture capital investment. This seminar is perfect for startups and small companies considering if, how, and when they should raise financing for rapid growth.
This seminar will be taught by Elan Kawesch, Chief Product Officer and a founding team member at Claira, a platform that unleashes workforce potential using advanced competency science and machine learning. At Claira, Elan works cross-functionally to create strategies that optimize for product success and company growth. He leads strategy and vision in product development, UX, GTM, and marketing, while supporting and working closely with every other part of the business. Prior to joining Claira, he spent a decade as a nonprofit founder and advisor, working with senior level employees to strategically develop major projects. Elan holds a MA in International Economics and Finance from the Brandeis International Business School, and a BA in Business from Brandeis University.
