What we're about

The Neurodiverse Community is an open, inclusive & judgment-free meeting space where ND people can connect, share, learn, play and create any day of the week.

We're a socially responsible community centered on lived experiences of neurodiversity and mutual support. Comfortably well-structured peer-led support groups, creative and fun weekly activity groups and a calm but vibrant neurodiversity chat server available 24/7. The NDC was built by and for ND people for mutual support and sharing great conversation, passionate interests, useful information, funny memes and of course cute animal pictures every day.

Why we started the NDC: Being a neurodivergent adult or teen means being part of a MASSIVELY under-served and marginalized community with few options for financial help, employment assistance or support that work for our needs. With almost no effective representation in government and the ableist mentality of the vast majority of families, businesses, schools and communities, navigating life in the 21st century means most of us are forced to struggle without support, without accommodations at work or school and without feeling we belong in any community. The majority of ND adults become isolated, alienated from others, suffer from depression, anxiety, substance use, self harm and the feeling of being unable to affect any positive change. This is why being and a part of a supportive community that makes us feel seen and heard is so important.

The NDC's mission is to create lasting change through mutual support. Finding our similarities and shared experiences can be deeply rewarding as we improve our relationships with self and others and work side by side to navigate life in a world that isn't designed for ND people. Please join us at a group discussion or activity meetup soon. We look forward to connecting with you!
