AngularJS, presented by Jerod Santo

At JSConf this year, there was a lot of buzz going around about AngularJS. Luckily, our own Jerod Santo has experience with the tool and wanted to give a talk!

AngularJS is what HTML would have been, had it been designed for building web-apps. Declarative templates with data-binding, MVW, MVVM, MVC, dependency injection and great testability story all implemented with pure client-side JavaScript!”

Jerod Santo (@jerodsanto) runs a really amazing custom software company called Object Lateral. He’s probably most well known for his web and voice work on Omaha Bounty Hunter. He blogs at his own web site, at The Changelog, and was a former contributor to Fuel Your Coding.

“Object Lateral's founder – is a Bible Christian, a husband, a father of three, and an all around geeky guy. He graduated with highest honors from the University of Nebraska at Omaha where he studied Management Information Systems, Computer Science, and Information Assurance. When it comes to technology, Jerod is a bit of an autodidact.”—via objectlateral.com

Nicholas Petersen (@lessis) will be giving a lightning talk on the JavaScript header he built for his new website and a little about Omaha’s collaborative problem solving.

I am definitely most well known for my voice work on Omaha Bounty Hunter, but let's not forget about my heralded part as "Lazer" in "LazerCatz The Game".

I hope we start with a primer about what Javascript, HTML, and CSS are. Also, what's a computer? How is a baby born?

I see that we will be going over MVW, MVVM, and MVC but what about M4M, MK3, or MGM Grand?

I try to put myself in situations where I feel dumb—that’s how I know I’m learning something! But we do have attendees of various skill levels. Are there any specific topics you’re interested in?

I am interested in all of web programming languages to be honest with you. I just tend to get frustrated with learning it because of the fact I cant always seem to find a good place to start. Even though I have been cracking down on www.codeacademy.com good place to learn but back to the main topic. I am wanting to learn all languages because I am trying to start my own website.
