Many of you know I am a member of the National Exchange Club Sugar Land Chapter. This is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting child abuse. Our Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser featuring award-winning spaghetti cooked by several teams of first responders raises nearly $150,000 each year. This money is given directly to local nonprofit organizations and is used right here to help children in our communities.
The Exchange Club has even donated to NEO in support of our "Wilderness Kids" program. NEO has been asked to host the kids' activities for this year's event. We will have life-size games and our famous lawn fishing tournament on site for kids and families to enjoy. We will also be providing face art, so if you are a good artist, please sign up.
We will need plenty of hungry volunteers to help out at the NEO Family Fun Zone and to put a hurtin' on some delicious spaghetti and fixin's. Some meal tickets have been donated to NEO to cover dinners for our volunteers! Yay!
We are currently collecting items for our silent and live auctions as well as items that can be bundled into auctionable gift baskets. If you or your company have an item or service that can be auctioned or you have some bottles of wine or gift cards that can be put into the gift baskets, please let me know. Every item raises that much more money to help kids in need in our neighborhoods.

"The Exchange Club of Sugar Land’s Annual Spaghetti Dinner will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 5:30pm to 8pm at Fluor Corporation cafeteria, 1 Fluor Daniel Drive, Sugar Land. Local law enforcement agencies and firefighters compete in a Spaghetti Sauce Cook-off. Their eccentric costumes are always a hit. More is in development! Stay Tuned!
