Community Engagement - DexCon/CMEP

Before we take a short break for the holidays, we would like to cordially invite you to a session focusing on digital excellence and digital access issues in the Chicago community. Agenda is currently being finalized, but areas of discussion will include

  • News and updates about DexCon, a late October conference focusing on digital literacy and digital excellence issues,
  • Some great non-profit/tech initiatives, including the Chicago Broadband Challenge; and
  • A strategy session with the Community Male Empowerment Project - if you missed our August meeting, you are more than welcome to attend.

If you have an interest in social media and community organizing; technology and underserved populations, or if you want to join a group focused on larger-reaching issues around tech and social good, we cordially invite you to attend. TRC Senior Village is within walking distance of two Green Line stops (51st Street and Garfield-Green) which are approximately 30 minutes from downtown. For more detailed transit information, please visit

In addition - food and refreshments will be provided for participants. Hope to see you there!

I've been asked to speak/present fr the Google users Group at 1871 this upcoming Wednesday:

If I am unable to attend tomorrow, please all come to the presentation I will be making about Software Radio, which, in my opinion, blows everything away that we've seen to date at ALL Meetup Groups in Chicago.

Software Radio is the " Next " technology to replace what we've grown accustomed too: Hardware Radio.

Please attend, and I DO look forward towards meeting each of you.
