When you hear "philanthropy" you think of Bill Gates, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the other titans of industry that set aside some of their riches to help solve the world's challenges. But when Dan Morrison hears "philanthropy" he thinks of high school students, young professionals, yoga instructors and accountant. Dan is the founder of Citizen Effect, an entrepreneurial nonprofit that empowers everyone to be a Citizen Philanthropist. Citizen Effect has build a technology and new media platform that connects communities in need of small bur critical projects with citizens that want to bring their friends, family and social networks together to make a real and sustainable difference in the lives of those in need.

Dan will share how Citizen Effect is build a sustainable philanthropy platform that will provide nonprofits around the world a new fundraising channel and citizens a better, more rewarding way to give. Citizen Effect will also lead you through a case study and solicit your feedback on how to make their model better. And if you are convinced, Citizen Effect is happy to talk to nonprofits about leveraging the platform for their own fundraising or signing you up to take control and lead a Citizen Effect project for a community in need.
