We know, we know...we suck. Well, that may be a bit harsh, but it's been tough keeping some consistency within our little (nearly 1,100 member) group. First, there were issues with venues, then it was our over-committed organizers. Well, here we go again but we've got some changes on the horizon, and if we can be brutally honest - we miss you.
Thanks to an invitation from an amazing new space in the Bywater, we're "getting the band back together" and can't wait to hear what's up with everyone, both new and not so new.
So with May right around the corner, let's make a date of it. Mark your calendar and plan to be there on the first Tuesday.
Special thanks to our hosts for the May meetup,
Booty’s, a hip, new bar/restaurant/gathering space in the Bywater. This space is also super welcoming of entrepreneurs setting up shop during the day (the owners actually run two national websites that they work on from the space and the internet is crazy fast). They've also agreed to bestow a few drink and snack specials on the group.
So this month, there'll be no official presentation, we're going to focus on catching up, but that doesn't mean we won't call you out to share what you've been working on with the group. We'll kick things off around 5 and keep networking going until around 7pm. If you can, make plans to stay and have dinner at Booty's afterwards (we're sure they wouldn't mind).
While there will be no formal preso, we will be using this opportunity to lament over NOLA losing one of our superstars to an amazing opportunity elsewhere. Yes, another original Net2NO'er will be leaving us in lieu of a new adventure in the from of a badass job that will take him direct form the Big Easy to D.C. This may be your last chance to say farewell to Damien Lamanna. (Please be sure to share any embarrassing photos of Damien that you'd like displayed during this little meetup directly to Megan or Adele - mwah ha ha).
SIDE NOTE: We wouldn't normally recommend trips to the little boys/girls room, but this case we suggest you make it a point to check out the bathrooms at Booty's currently featuring an art installation by Big Frieda!
