It has been way too long since we've all gotten together, shared a frosty beverage and exchanged war stories - and there is no better reason to get things rolling again than Mini BarCamp!
Heard of BarCampNOLA? (http://www.barcampnola.com) Ever wondered what a BarCamp "unconference" is like? Find out at Net2NO's July Meetup - the Seventh Annual MiniBar presentation.
What happens at MiniBar you ask? We attempt to squeeze the excitement, education and entertainment of the 2-day BarCampNola conference into one action packed hour with three mini (nerdgasmic) presentations.
SIDENOTE: Calling all Drinkers, Tippers & Sponsors
We are beyond lucky to be returning to the The Irish House, but we want to make sure that they are happy to have us back. To do so, we need to step up our drinking and tipping game (and if you are so inclined, we'd love to have you / your company as a sponsor). You know you want to geek out (and drink) or just hang out with the local tech community (and drink).
Three presenters will provide a glimpse of the variety of talks that are offered during BarCampNewOrleans. These include:
TECH: Marcel Mata, Software Engineer at GCR & Associates, describes the tricky science of assessing engineering talent. What should your startup and (Microsoft or Amazon) should have in common, or differ at, when hiring your next engineer?
SOCIAL: Max Gaudin, COO at Operation Spark, explains how to run a non-profit like a startup and why teaching at-risk youth how to code isn't as hard as it sounds.
CREATIVE: The BIG BarCampNOLA theme reveal!! This year's theme and illustrations by John Clark and website (www.barcampnola.com) by Steve Price and Jacqui Nelson will be unveiled at this event. These three topics are just a taste of what you might learn about or choose to present at BarCamp. Nothing is off limits, session schedules are only limited by the imagination of presenting attendees!

MORE ABOUT BARCAMP
Despite constantly swearing to never organize another BarCamp, Matt Tritico is at it again. #BarCampNOLA8 is happening on July 18th and 19th at the Boggs Center for Energy and Biotechnology on the Tulane University Campus.
Still not sure what a "BarCamp is?
To sum it up, BarCampNola is a yearly “unconference” that brings passionate people together to share what they love with the community. While it initially started off with a more tech focus, the event has grown into more than that and welcomes anybody who wants to discuss their favorite topics or subject matter.
BarCampNola takes place over the course of two days.
• Day one is full of workshops about a variety of topics.
• Day two is the “project day” where the entire group gets together to build something useful for the community.
