RPGs thus far :

Playtest- Assemble! Ultra-Dimensional Mechanism Astrotron!

The players have been selected to save the world from a mysterious alien presence invading our world from another dimension. They have been bonded to Giant Machines and given special powers to find and drive out the aliens hiding among us before travelling into the space between dimensions to fight. When in trouble, the Giant Machines combine to form Astrotron! (exclamation mark required).

This is very rules light and designed largely for humor. It draws on subjects like power rangers, giant robot anime and super-heroes. This is in the very early stages of development and is designed only as a one-shot, so there are basically no rules to learn and no preparation needed.

Desired Group: 4-6 Players, the game is designed for people with zero experience, but is a prototype so some patience may be needed.

Recommended you bring: Some d6s, six would be plenty, more if you have them. If you don't have them and can't borrow them, the game works systemless too.

The only way to ensure a spot in this game is to answer the question in the RSVP stating that. For any other questions about game particulars, contact the GM: Mark Bryan

Players so far, in order of RSVP: Simon Stiburek, Tiana

D&D4e - Who would love a Monster

On the darkened crossroads a cage tumbles to the ground from the tree. The door of the cage open.

An old woman, peers out from behind shutters as the storm lashes the old cemetery. A scream escapes her lips as something crawls from the sodden ground.

A rowdy dockside tavern grows still as they hear the sound of knocking coming from underneath the watery floorboards.

Opposing the darkness there are the Adventurers of Hommlet, guardians of this small town of modest ambition.

You, however, awake in a long forgotten crypt under the old moathouse. It will be a dark night in Hommlet.

Who would love a Monster, is a gothic D&D 4e edition game where the players play the monsters.

Desired group: 4- 6 players not afraid to play monsters

Recommended you bring: A pencil and some dice (D20 advised)

The only way to ensure a spot in this game is to answer the question in the RSVP stating that. For any other questions about game particulars, contact the GM: Laurie

Players so far, in order of RSVP: NatasjaC, Dennis, Dennis +1, Paul Roodenburg

MtG Roleplay – Igniting the Spark

Planeswalkers are among the most powerful beings in the multiverse. Planeswalkers can be born at random in any sentient race, with no outward signs of their latent power. However, there is an incredibly remote chance that any given sentient, natural being will be born with a planeswalker's spark. When that being is put through a period of extreme stress—in many cases death—the spark can trigger, causing the individual to ascend and become a planeswalker.

Have you ever heard of Magic the Gathering (MtG). It’s a collectable card game where you play a planewalker (a very powerfull magic user) and battle other planewalkers. MtG is mostly played as a competitive cardgame but the game has a great back story and setting ideal for a roleplaying game.

We will start out with a character creation that has nothing to do with MtG. You will simply choose a couple of characteristics for your character and thus decide how you want to play the game. Each player will ignite there planewalker spark in the game and the game mechanics will come step by step as you will learn how to control the potential of all the manaflows in the multiverse.

The goal is to roleplay mostly in the multiverse of MtG and use the magic game cards as powers, items and abilities to enhance your characther. From time to time we will decide the outcome of a battle trough a short and fast game of Magic that is modified for roleplay to keep a fast pace going.

This will be a beta test for a MtG roleplaying system based on some existing home brews. Any constructive criticism is appreciated.

Desired group: 6 Beginner player friendly, no knowledge of MtG card game required.

Recommended you bring: A pencil and some dice (D20 advised). I will supply the MtG cards and sheets.

The only way to ensure a spot in this game is to answer the question in the RSVP stating that. For any other questions about game particulars, contact the GM: Plotdude

What to bring: Pencil, eraser, d6s (Gm will bring enough) and some paper for notes. Characters will be pregenerated by the GM.

Desired group: 4-6 players

Shadowrun: The nature of men

Shad - ow - run - ner

nuon

"An individual who is hired by unknown employers to perform clandestine jobs. Often perceived as a disposable and deniable asset that sometimes plays a key strategic role in the war between corporations."

That is the life. Nobody knows you but they have heard of your alleged reputation. We live in the shadow, many of us outside of the bureaucratic system. We call them Mister Johnson, a corporate drone who knows enough and thus to much. They hire us to break in, steal some data and get out. Sometimes its a kill or a sabotage run, but it`s always on the edge. It`s all just business until you make a mistake and someone gets hurt. This is that one time, this time its personal. Remember the old street saying “Watch your back, shoot straight, conserve ammo, and never EVER cut a deal with a dragon.

Shadowrun is a cyberpunk (the sci fi of tomorrow) game where man meets machine meets magic. In the recent years magic has returned to the world, and with that came the spirit world and the most powerful creatures imaginable; dragons. Many humans started mutating or children were born different; and now we have dwarves, elves, trolls and orcs running around as if it’s the most common thing you have seen. You are a shadowrunner, you are the best at what you do; and with the right reward you got a job to do. Chose your weapon of choice; magic, guns, spirits, hackings, smoothtalking, cyberimplants or a mix of any and all.

This game will be beginner friendly. Expect some combat, stealth and clever use of intel and contacts. Shadowrun is a bleak world, so expect some unpleasant surprises.

Desired group: 4 - 6 players. Both beginners and veterans are welcome

Recommended you bring: A pencil and some all the D6's you can find. There shall be a plethora of premades for you all.

The only way to ensure a spot in this game is to answer the question in the RSVP stating that. For any other questions about game particulars, contact the GM: Jan

Players so far, in order of RSVP: Lio Leeuwerik, Johanna, Trask, Denica, Christian Roos, Boyd (FULL)

Reservation List: Paul Roodenburg

First time GM and what a game. We had four villainous villains, a very gloating lightning bolt, a mistress of possession that possessed many, A barbie turned barbaric and very nice nurse with splitting hairlines that splatted her targets. Went well for a first game and got good feedback from it. Looks like episode one is getting an episode two :). Thanks for joining my table! Also for the evening section had a hilarious Cards against Humanity section, with just 1 sidenote: Niek.... stop being so damn funny!

I would love to come on Sunday! But it seems all the games are pretty full... are we going to start something new? Any ideas and players?

P.S.: ain't there someone from Amsterdam who would let me to sleep over? I would come on bike from Utrecht but I don't feel like riding back in night... If not, I will go by train, no problem.

Ok, I don't have so much gamemastering experience but I guess I can run something if needed... Actually I've read almost none of these big rpg books like WHFR, DnD (none!), SR, WoD and so on but we can make it with some minimalistic stuff.

      October 7, 2013

Remy is ok with running a game Jan. Will send you a PM with his email and phone.

      October 8, 2013
