Are you are looking for us to help you join or create a regular gaming group? What is your availability?

I ran into this group after searching for possible rpg groups in the Amsterdam area. I recently moved here and I am missing my weekly game :) As yet I have no idea how much " help" I would require but I have to start somewhere haha. Currently my availability is a bit more but it will eventually be weekends or evenings on weekdays.

What RPG games/systems do you prefer? Are there any games you are interested in trying out or playtesting?

As far as system goes I am a huge fan of west end games' D6 system like they used in the old Star Wars RPG. I also like the white wolf system and the dnd 3.5/pathfinder system. That being said, a system is just that. a system, a tool. The group, setting and story are far more important to me. I prefer stories and settings with a high amount of horror/creepy or sci-fi in them, preferably both. The old World of Darkness or Star Wars games suited me fine. With the right storyteller and group any setting can be corrupted to my desires though ;)

On a scale of rules complexity/depth with 1 being rules-light and 10 being rules-heavy, how 'crunchy' do you like a roleplaying rules system to be?

whatever works for the group, but with the restrictions that rules shouldn't slow down the game too much. Of course there is a bit of learning time required with a new system but after that the session should be able to be run smoothly. I don't care if the rules say I get a +2 because of some action or that the storyteller simply decides on it or some difficulty. I feel rules discussion during a game can be quite disruptive of the story and/or action so I tend to just follow storyteller directions (nowadays at least lol) Personal preference goes to systems that have some tweaking potential as I do enjoy to puzzle a bit in the statistics part of character creation, so that would be more towards the 7 or 8ish.

Do you feel able to be the GM/DM for a regular group, or GM a one-off game at a Meetup?

Maybe, I have done some storytelling in my old groups. Not certain how comfortable I would be storytelling for a group of strangers, especially since my sessions tend to gravitate towards adult content (fear, insanity, gore, erotic, naughty stuff, the darkness in some people's minds and some really f***ed up stuff) - and not everyone is cool with that.

Have you ever been a GM/DM (GameMaster/DungeonMaster)? If so what systems did/do you run?

yes. Star Wars D6, ADND, DnD 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, Vampire, Werewolf 2nd Edition but short stories only, never long campains

I have been playing rpg's on and off ever since I was 17 or so. I am now 36 so that is quite a while. I have experimented with running some games and though I do enjoy storytelling for a few sessions, I am mostly looking to play at the moment.
