Our next topic will be data mapping tools and their uses in the third sector.
We'll have a number of presentations on how data visualisation tools can help good causes evidence need, spot gaps, illustrate reach, and help target delivery of services.
There are loads of free / low cost tools we can use + open data we can access to map alongside our own. Come and find out more!
• Eric Hannell - Tableau Foundation. Eric works for Tableau in London where he spends his time helping people see and understand their data. He is also a member of the Tableau Foundation which aims to use facts and analytical reasoning to help solve the world's problems.
• Drew Mackie - Drew will introduce us to network maps and how you can visualise and analyse networks of people and organisations using Kumu.io
• Sophie Robson - Humanitarian Open Street Map. Sophie is an expert in emergency/disaster response, and has been a volunteer for two years on the MSF Missing Maps Project. Her most recent focus is mapping remote areas of rural Tanzania to facilitate anti-FGM outreach work by the Tanzania Development Trust. She will be showing us to get started contributing to or creating your own humanitarian mapping project.
