Advancing Secularism -- Strategies & Politics -- Oh My!

It's time once again for one of NOSHA's most popular meetings: the discussion group! You will be encouraged to offer your opinions and personal experiences on the following:

*  What are the best strategies to advance secularism as a movement in American society?

*  When (if ever) is it appropriate to try to persuade a believer to change his/her mind? And how?

*  Does secularism entail any particular political philosophies?

Each of these topics overlaps and you may wish we'd never brought it up, but most likely you have a point of view that should be part of the conversation. So don't hesitate, jump in and learn something about others in our community!

We guess we didn't get the memo -- never mix politics and religion!

To get to the meeting place at the zoo: Enter from Magazine Street at Zoo Avenue (between the two stone lions) and continue to the statue of Audubon. The entry way to our area (the Dominion Learning Center) is to the right of the main entrance through the metal gates.

If it's a pretty day or there is a festival, parking will be at a premium so give yourself plenty of time to find a spot.

For more information about this event, please check our website at or contact [masked]

All NOSHA meetings are free and open to the general public.
