**Please understand, this group is not for mothers who are single because the father/partner did not work out. Although some struggles are similar, there are many struggles that are different for SMCs. Sorry to disappoint.**
This group is for women in the New Orleans area, that have decided to or seriously exploring the option to be mothers by choice. Who is a Single Mom by Choice (SMCs)? Single women who have made the deliberate choice to start a family in which she will be the child's (or children's) sole parent, by donor insemination, egg donation or adoption.
My hope for this group is to invite women to join together, to create a nurturing, safe and supportive space for one another. This group is open to thinkers, trier's and successful single mother's by choice. Community is so very important. I hope we can form a network of women of all ages and stages of this journey, to share information, resources, our experiences and support.
