What brainy things have you done today?

Biked to work. Read 20 pages of "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" at lunch. Read up on rooting my latest Android phone and will probably root it this week. Oh yes, joined this group!

I was enrolled into playing guitar for your kite event, and after taking a look at the group I thought it would be a good fit for me. So here I am!

What Andrew P. is saying about this Meetup Group

My initial thought before this event was that this looks like a great group with some terrific people, which made me join it. The huge thing that kept this event from being a great event: the majority of those who signed up to come, and apparently even many who volunteered! As it turned out, this was the straw that broke the camel's back for Deborah, the co-organizer, now known as "former member of the group." The letter from co-organizer Michael saddened me. Those members of this group who failed to show or even, at minimum, to have any integrity by changing their RSVPs, apparently broke the spirit, if not the hearts, of people who give so freely and willingly of their time for a higher purpose. I don't know Michael or Deborah well, but it is clear that these are authentic, wonderful people who frankly deserve better. Losing Deborah (who quit Meetup entirely, not just this group) is a blow that may well be a mortal wound. When Michael follows suit, the group may fold. A shonda!
