Maitreya Kadampa Buddhist Center Pages

Maitreya Center website
Welcome - I am the Administrative Director of Maitreya Kadampa Buddhist Center in Atlantic Beach and I organized this meet-up group to let more people know about classes and our center. I have received so much positive benefit from practicing meditation and Buddhism that it is my hope that others can also receive benefit from it through our center.

If you are interested in meditation and practical applications of Buddha's teachings, applicable to our busy lives, then I hope you will join us at one of our classes. Available events include meditation classes, teachings, chanted and silent meditations, retreats, day courses and discussions. We follow the teachings of Ven. Kelsang Gyatso, and the New Kadampa Tradition, an authentic Mahayana Buddhist lineage.

We also have classes in St Augustine, and other areas of Jacksonville.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or experience.

Come check it out!

DONATIONS & CENTER SPONSORS:
Your donation helps us keep Dharma available in this world. Each Dharma Center is a non-profit organization that has expenses such as rent, brochures, offerings and other necessities. The teachers do not get paid anything, but offer their time and knowledge freely to all.

From your side, making a donation is an offering to The Three Jewels - Buddha, Dharma and Sangha - that helps keep these teachings flowing. It connects you to the teachings and holy beings, and creates the karma for you to experience abundance and gain the riches of Dharma realizations that improve your life.

We all know that the more we put into something, the more we get out of it. Please be sure to offer something - don't worry if you cannot afford the suggested amount, but do offer what you can, or ask the teacher how you can help.

The requested donation for General Program classes is $10 ($5 for students and limited income). If you are interested in making a year commitment to the center by becoming a monthly sponsor, please contact your teacher or the Administrative Director for information.
