Thanks for checking us out! We're a group of avid readers, bibliophiles if you will, that read contemporary/classic fiction and non- fiction for our monthly meetup. Our meetings are almost always filled with lively discussion, lots of laughs and perhaps the great uniting factor of good food. While our meetups are based in the New Haven area, we have a great mix of people from all over the state.

We meet the last Wednesday of each month at either Panera Bread in Hamden or IKEA cafe in New Haven - check the meetup announcement for location. At every meet up attending members  offer book suggestions as to what we should read for the next month. The online  poll is set up the night of the meetup and members vote for a day or so afterwards on what they would like to read. Once the book is chosen the picture of the group changes to reflect what we are reading for the next meetup.

We also host a lot of fun literary related meetups such as movie meetups of books made into film, historical literary houses, theater performances, author lectures and book signings, poetry readings and hey we even went roller skating one time just because they mentioned it in a book we read. Our goal is to get readers together to forge friendships and further each other's love of all things books!

We collect $1/member at each of the meetups to help offset the cost of keeping our club on Meetup.com.
