(first message got bounced for some reason)

I'm staying near the Marble Arch station looking for some salsa events this week. I found one at 28 Binney Street last night, but it was all non-dancers or first time beginners. Anyone want to help organize a better get together?

I'm not sure anyone actually reads these messages, but I thought I'd report going to a place simply called "Salsa!" at this address:

96 Charing Cross Road
London, WC2H 0JG

It was a better time than before, but a little weird because they dance a form of salsa called "casino" where the lead steps on his right foot (instead of left) on the 1, and then the count resets (instead of going all the way to 8) so you're stepping with your left foot on the 1. I heard it's more authentic but it takes some getting used to if you're accustomed to LA style. Other than that it was pretty fun. Maybe a bit too warm inside.

Try the London Salsa Group...plenty of places in the past events section and new one coming next friday
