The pack I usually carry is a (brand/model)?

The one that fits my shoulders, distributes weight nicely, and will not tear apart when 50 to 80 pounds is drug for miles, and at times, slammed into trees or accidently dropped down gullies. Name brands dont matter so much.

I enjoy backpacking because?

I want to get out in the most distant and pristine regions of the world, where cars and industry have not yet dared to decimate; to experience nature it its relatively innocent state, and be humbled before it.

I consider myself a (beginner, intermediate or advanced) backpacker?

Advanced. This has alot to do with traveling great distances with a pack, but versitility is the name of the game, and anyone can do anything, with far less gear than they realize, but learning to adapt and being prepared is important.

My favorite place to backpack & hike in NM is?

The places that have the least sounds of the city, and the most diverse life, that scurries, crawls, flies, and climbs, especially when there is enough moon to see it all working as it was meant to. Wild places, and energetically rich atmospheres. ~

My favorite piece of gear is?

Ive been traveling cross country via pack since I was 17. Ive headed the outdoor and climbing clubs in my college. I want to have as little foot print on the natural world, while having it teach me all i can learn.
