Hello Fellow Cruisers,
Our return to the BVI's after three (3) years from November 2014..... What an amazing time we had last time. I thought to plan another sailing adventure there with a bigger Yacht ( 48' Catamaran) for a truly unique and luxurious experience!
Total trip cost is just $1700 ( just $1250 after the initial deposit). Includes the boat, and light breakfast items on board with snacks. All other food items not included such as special needs food items, alcoholic beverages, etc are to be purchased by each separately as needed. Please note the boat has Four (4) double cabins that are about the size of a queen bed . It also has a double bed sleeping area in the galley area which I will take so that all will attending will have the cabin spaces which have air conditioning and doors for privacy. Also note if booking single you will have to share a cabin with another crew member or you have the option to purchase the full cabin at the two person price.
Typical Travel plans is to leave via LAX to arrive at Charlotte Amalie , then on to Tortola. We can go on-board the boat after 6 pm and we can get the boat briefing at 7pm which can last up to two hours. We stay aboard the boat that night and can head out the next morning on our own to explore! The plan is to sail ( island hop) and be at anchor ( or mooring ball ) each afternoon to explore the island, swim, snorkel or kayak, or just relax and enjoy the warm waters and temperatures. We will not sail at night as the islands are very close together and easily reached in a few hours or less of sailing. We go ashore for dinner each evening as a group.
We need to return the boat by Noon . You might want to plan a stay afterwards to explore more and to get the best airfare. Airfares are quite cheap now so it is very reasonable.
See you all aboard for BVI !
