Stanford AI Class Review Session

  • Nov 19, 2011 · 4:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Format:

Same as last time. We will go through the non-trivial lecture videos and stop only so that everyone understands the quiz problems - keeping each unit to 1 hr if possible. Afterwards we will tackle more detailed questions that came up and assignment topics. So 2 hrs for the lectures and 1 more for the discussion.

I was told that a number of people didn't sign up because the waiting list was already too long. You should still sign up so that we know the demand, and usually some slots open for various reasons. If you can only meet on a different day, then please still sign up as 'Not Coming' and put your preferred days in the comments. That way others will know who else wants to come on other days going forward.

Moved to Saturday due to conflict with the Machine Learning HMM talk.

quieter session, AI cat helped us all with the material. I always learn so much at these sessions, and Rob is both a great group leader and a gracious host.

Very very informative as well as engaging. And even though I never went to any of the previous ones I felt very welcomed.

Hi I know it's late in the hour, but I just stumbled onto this while studying for the AI-Class midterm. I live on st marks myself (between 1st and A), and would really like to attend. Is it too late? I can order pizza for the group if bribery is an option.

Hi all, I am going to cancel my attendance for this week because the meeting is at the same time at the Mid-term exam. I am slow and need the full 72 hours allowed to answer the questions :-) See you next week.

Wait, so are we meeting Thursday or is the meeting moving so we can go to the hidden markov models seminar? Maybe can we meet earlier or later so as to do both?

Sorry everyone for not organizing a meeting this week. I am tied up with too much work and the NYBigApps Hackathon this week-end. I hope to host another meeting next week, especially in view of the mid-term coming up.

Cool, people who are interested and in this group maybe could go together! Hey, the AI class at Stanford lecture today was on applying game theory to programming games (chess, etc). I'm behind on the video seminars, was that topic covered in class? i missed lecture today bad luck having a cold :P

This is at the same time as a seminar on hidden Markov models being given at AOL HQ - does anyone else care??
