I thought the event was great, however I suggest giving people themes and maybe some ideas that would have commercial viability, they should still have the freedom of course to develop whatever they would like.

The guys and I wish to stop traffic offenders and other assholes from making the driving experience dangerous by capturing their negligence behavior on camera, using "Glass".

What sort of result do you expect - software? hardware?
What kind of hardware, if any, will be available on site? e.g. Google Glasses for those who want to make an app, Arduinos / Lilypad Arduinos for those who want to create a new physical product...

(Yeah, we can bring those, but it's not that simple. I won't bring an entire range of resistors with me for an Arduino project :) and GG projects would be exclusive to GG users if no devices are made available)

Hi Galia, we will have devices onsite including Glass and arduino boards, we excpect to see all kinds of creations without prejudice ;)
That said, we have limited devices and you're welcome to bring anything more you'd like to work on or contribute to the hackathon (we promise to take good care of them)

Also, don't forget to register at the eventbrite link where you can specify which device you want to work on and what you're bringing and we'll do our best

Hey all - super bummed that my tour of Israel ends just a few days before this event. I'm coming 3/8-18 as part of a school and work trip. I have Google Glass and have a startupfirm that focuses on Glass, open data, and health IT strategy/custom development. If anyone wants to try to meet up while I'm in Israel, please do email me at [masked] and/or via Twitter at http://twitter.com/skram.

https://www.dawndata.com/ is my latest public Glassware which is basically 'Google Analytics for Google Glass'. You can also check out http://askopendata.com for another example this time with a focus on open data.

It would have been great if this event were not held on the Sabbath so that the event would be inclusive.

    1 · February 26, 2014

    • Galia B.

Benjamin, the bulk of the event is on the Sabbath. She'll have time for the pitches, lunch and just a couple of hours of hacking versus the entire 25.
