What we're about

NHBW, Inc. Dallas Chapter is seriously seeking "faithful & committed" ladies to join our awesome organization!

FAITHFUL... to the NHBW, Inc. Dallas Chapter Sisters to "faithfully" attend the monthly chapter meetings, SERVE and carry out the established missions.

COMMITTED... to the Dallas community to improve the lives of others by participating in the events and opportunities that enable women to affect meaningful changes in their personal and professional life. Also support the programs that produce a better quality of life for families and our communities.

NHBW, Inc. was founded in 1974 by a small group of spirited women during the fourth Congressional Black Caucus Legislative Weekend. These black women met in a hotel room and organized a national forum to articulate the needs and concerns of women, their families and children. Historically the women recognized the need to establish a communications network between women’s organizations, the Congressional Black Caucus and to impact public policy.

The Dallas Chapter of National Hook-Up of Black Women, Inc. "aka" NHBW, Inc. proudly launched on January 5, 2013. The Dallas Chapter is undergirded and supported by a talented Executive Committee that brings strength and commitment to the NHBW Mission. The Executive Committee is a deliberative body established to aid the chapter members, thus the organization, in accomplishing its mission through community service events and programs.

NHBW, Inc. members reflect a rich diversity of dedicated women from varied business, professional, and community disciplines, representing a broad constituency that crosses all economic, social and educational backgrounds.
