Vinyasa Flow yoga focuses on connecting breath with movement. Each class begins by deepening the breath and setting an intention for the hour of yoga practice, then moves through a sequence of flowing postures.
Throughout the hour, students work up a sweat by moving through standing, sitting, balancing, and strengthening poses. Classes end with students in savasana, a relaxed lying posture that creates space for meditation and rest.
The class is at times quiet and reflective and at other moments fast and energizing. Everyone from beginner to expert yogis are welcome, as instructors provide modifications and suggestions to both simplify or advance the practice.
