SERIAL, an improvised miniseries in 12 performances (FREE!)

SERIAL, a mini-series in 12 performances

FREE!

Fridays and Saturdays, 8 PM
July 19-August 24
Theatre Momentum Studio (1800 W. Cornelia Ave.)

The studio is located in the Cornelia Arts Building, two blocks south of the Addison Brown Line. There is free parking in front of the building for 8 cars.

Join us at Theatre Momentum's studio space for the FREE performances of SERIAL, opening July 19th.

SERIAL is Theatre Momentum's ongoing serialized performance, with every actor playing the same role throughout the production. Each week's performance folds in the narratives of the previous performances, creating an expanding world of complex lives, in the fashion of a mini-series. It is a unique theatrical experience.

Hailed as "a worthy alternative to what you'll find at improv mainstays such as i.O. or Annoyance," Theatre Momentum creates original works of instant theatre. Theatre Momentum is theatre that happens to be improvised.

Featuring: Corinne Amanda, Ali Barthwell, Ren Bautista, Blair Britt, Gabe Caruso, Nathan Hanks, Colin Hudson, Hannah Huey, Johnny Kalita, Jason Pelker, and Dustin Sharpe
Directed by Tony Rielage, Artistic Director

Reserve your FREE tickets (donations welcome):  Reserve tickets

Please note: Seating is limited, so your seat is only guaranteed if you reserve your seat through the link above. RSVP'ing through meetup does NOT guarantee your seat.

Can't make it to opening night? No problem! There are 11 more performances of SERIAL, but each show builds on the one before, so come out and catch every part of the series that you can!

ALL Theatre Momentum's shows in 2013 are 100% FREE, so please join us!

P.S.- We'll be meeting up after the show at Cork Lounge, to meet and chat with the cast. See you there!

If anyone is not going, would you be able to update your RSVP on the ticket site too? Thanks!

I got the last rsvp, but I can't make it. Help yourself to my spot.

Is anyone not going (that rsvp'd)? Would love to come but hate to make a trip out there if there's a chance I won't be able to get in.

Is seating still available? On the sat reservation link, it looks full for Friday.

    • Tony

Those are the reservations. There will be a couple extra seats, but we are expecting a full house. If everyone shows up, those who have reservations will get first dibs on the seats. There are usually a couple no-shows, and we have extra chairs if we need them.

So, any idea if this is comedy tragedy or what?

    July 13, 2013

    • Tony

It's a little of everything, actually. There are definitely lots of moments of comedy, but it's also dramatic.

Is the production age appropriate for 12 and 10 year olds my sons will be my dates?

    July 15, 2013

    • Tony

It is not appropriate for those ages, no. Given that this is an improvised show, the language and narrative should be presumed appropriate for 18 and up.
