Community Green (CG) is a community in itself. I intend to be a manager who sits in the background and watches what blossoms. We are eager to have a calendar with lots of good environmental events of a quality that keeps members coming back. There are two types of event postings you can make &mdash; a Meetup and a Note. The Meetup is an event you will be attending. They are dark green on the calendar and emails are sent out to all members for meetup events. Notes are events that a CG Organizer won't be attending. Notes are on the calendar in yellow and emails are not sent out to the members.

A few guidelines for posting events: 

1) The events relate in a major way to Community and/or the Earth's Environment &ndash; learning Earth friendly ways, community building, anti-climate change work events, getting in touch spiritually with the Earth and each other, etc. 

2) If other organizations are hosting the event, always have permission to post on CG. An email saying so is fine. And please don't delete these emails.

3) Postings should be posted at least 2 weeks in advance of event. Please make sure you have the venue, speaker, film, books or whatever else needed, properly lined up by posting time.

4) Once posted, you need to keep the information as up to date as possible. If logistics change, please update, cancel, or change posting in whatever way is needed.

5) You don't need my ok to post, but I reserve the right as Managing Organizer to take it down if needed.

6) If any of the organizing team suggest changes, type-o's, need for clarity, or removal &ndash; it needs to be addressed. Please also help us all by reading over other's events and suggesting clarification etc.

7) A Meetup is posted and mailed out to members once. If changes are made, the membership is not alerted unless the change is a date or time change within a few days of the actual event.

8) Please take pictures and post them and your comments afterward.
