What: Green Film: "A Chemical Reaction" in Morristown!

When: Wednesday, March 10,[masked]:30 PM

Morristown Unitarian Fellowship

Morristown, NJ 07960

With springtime just around the corner, please don't miss this timely and unique film! A Chemical Reaction, is a documentary movie that tells the story of one of the most powerful and effective community initiatives in the history of North America. One lone voice in 1984, Dr. June Irwin, a dermatologist, noticed a connection between her patients? health conditions and their exposure to chemical pesticides and herbicides. The film follows her relentless persistence as the pesticide issue moved from local town, to Supreme Court. Against the will of large corporations, the town?s right to protect its citizens was upheld, and ? like a row of dominos ? other municipalities, up to the entire province of Quebec put a ban on the substance.

This documentary also follows Paul Tukey on his journey through his own illness from lawncare products to becoming a leading expert on organic lawn care and an advocate for organic lawn care. It?s an inspiring story of overcoming great odds and demonstrates the power of people coming together to effect great change in today?s society.

Anthony Pascale of Natural Turf will be on hand to answer your questions and share his expertise on how to grow a lawn that is safe for you, your children and pets.

This event is sponsored by the Green Earth Ministry of M.U.F. and the Garden State Earth Institute.
