- What is under the hood? Reviewing WP system files and their purpose.
It is always a good idea to know what makes your engine run. So, we are going to take a look at the systems files that are part of the WP install. We will also discuss their purpose. This will be a cursory overview. Specifics will be talked about as needed. We can also set up a future Meetup to learn more about any given folder and file. Ryan, with his great wisdom, will lead us. We will review and discuss challenges Aor has and the ideas for improvements. The second half of the meeting What makes WordPress work? We will take a behind the scenes look at the components that make WordPress a great CMS. Knowing the foundational elements will help all of us use WordPress more efficiently and will grow our knowledge base. TENTATIVE WordPress began its journey into fame by providing a platform for blogging. The design was clean, simple, and made for the end user. Our own Maria, an experienced and professional blogger, shares her blogging expertise. Maria's years of experience provide the practical hands-on knowledge that is ideal for WordPress users. She will present details that only a seasoned blogger can provide.

We want to warm up our bodies and mind with basic WordPress concepts and then build on what we know. It's always good to revisit foundational elements to ensure we know what we know. From discussions with a few persons, there is a desire to learn WordPress...NEWBIES! YEA! So, we will begin the session with some WP basics.
