Posted on behalf of Bob Nicholls. The BASE cafe in Easton holds a weekly board game evening between 6.00pm and 9pm. Soup (suitable for vegetarians and vegans) is on offer for a £1 donation. • Board Game Nights at the Greenbank

    The Greenbank Pub

Hi everyone! Vegetarian and Vegan Board game evenings will continue! I look to ensure the Meetup group is funded by those who use it the most. You may be aware that Meetup fees amount to ~£15 per month. The next fees will fall due in August, for a period of six months. I therefore collect donations at Board Game evenings and other Meetup events. The suggested donation is £1 for Board Game events and £0.50 for other events. Should donations exceed the Meetup fees it may be possible to buy some small board games on behalf of the group, which would provide some needed variety. The Greenbank has generously given us two tables every fortnight for board games. We're usually located at the back of the pub, either at the far end near the garden, or below the clock near the entrance to the kitchens. Please note the following: 1. The pub has a few different options for vegan and veggie food: http://thegreenbankbristol.co.uk/#Menu. They typically put a special on for our events. There's no obligation to purchase food, but we rely on the goodwill of the venue, so please do buy something if you can. 2. You're welcome to arrive later than 6pm, but if you're planning to arrive late it would be helpful if you could post on this event to let us know, so that we're not all engrossed in long board games when you arrive. 3. Please do bring games if you have something you'd like to play. As always, let me know if you have any questions.

  • Join Bristol Vegan Drinks #51

    Revolution

Bristol Vegan Drinks goes to Revolution for the latest social. As usual drinks are the focus but there is also a great sounding new plant based menu to sample including seitan "ribs", pizza, loaded burgers and sponge cake. Come check it out with us! About Bristol Vegan Drinks Bristol Vegan Drinks is a monthly event that takes place typically on the first Friday of every month. The event is very informal and is essentially just a time and place for like-minded people to meet each month. The rules are simple: 1. The event will always be at a location that serves vegan drinks and at least some vegan food. If you choose to eat, please try to only consume vegan food at the event out of respect for others. 2. The event will always be in a location that is easily reachable from the city centre. 3. Everyone is welcome, but non-vegans should expect veganism to be a topic of conversation 4. Alcohol and food consumption is entirely optional but expect both to be consumed by others. Remember this is a drinks event first, the food is a bonus so please don't be too critical of this aspect. There's plenty of other Bristol Vegan food events for you to try. I encourage feedback on any aspect from anyone who has anything to say. I run this event to provide a platform for vegans new and old to socialise in Bristol. I welcome anyone that wants to get involved or has a suggestion. Send me a private message if you have a special request and I will do my best to accommodate this. For example if you want to talk beforehand due to social anxiety or you want to attend but the venue lacks disabled access - I want to hear from you
