  • June - #FACTS: A FORM BUILDER CAN DO THAT

    Bridgeworks Enterprise Center

We'll be meeting in Allentown this month. 6:30 - meet and mingle 7:00 - presentation 7:45 - network hangout. #FACTS: A FORM BUILDER CAN DO THAT Do you have a form builder? Gravity, Ninja, WP, Caldera, etc. Did you know that it can do a whooooole lot more than just contact forms? That’s right. And many of the jobs you think you need a “specialized” plugin for, or have to hire a custom developer to achieve, your little form builder can do just as well. With no custom code needed. Yes, your form builder can do that. And doesn’t it make sense to get the most out of the investment you’ve already made? Sometimes what you’re looking for is sitting right under your nose, ready to go to work for you or your clients. Come see me, and I’ll show you around. #Facts. Speaker - Naomi C Bush Naomi’s been working with WordPress as a professional developer since 2005, and you can currently find her over at https://gravityplus.pro where she specializes in using WordPress form builders to quickly deliver custom business functionality at a fraction of the cost. She contributes back to the WordPress project through the core code, documentation, free plugins, organizing the WordPress Gwinnett developer meetup, organizing WordCamp Atlanta, and speaking at WordCamps.

  • VPS Hosting Made Easy … Well, Maybe Not Easy, But Understandable

    Bridgeworks Enterprise Center

LV Meetup member James Taylor will be sharing with us this evening. We'll gather at 6:30 pm with James talk starting around 7 pm. Afterward, we'll have some time for talking and networking. VPS hosting options are becoming steadily more available and affordable. How much can a cheap VPS handle? Is it worth it? WordPress is a versatile platform and hosting it DIY should not be feared. Deploying a WordPress site (or sites!) can be automated - for free. This talk is geared towards the professional that is interested in developing a WordPress management toolchain that does not cost an arm and a leg. James had worked for over a decade in the structural drafting field and that’s where he realized his passion for software. He finished his bachelor’s in Computer Science at 35, worked on enterprise level software at a couple of SaaS companies and is grateful for those experiences. James and his family are new to the LV and began using WordPress professionally at that time and hasn’t looked back. We are shifting the date this month so as not to be on Valentine's Day! We'll have a speaker from our group. More details to follow. See you the 21st!
