Wat we doen

Have you ever read a book that was so good (or bad) that you just wanted to discuss it with someone? Are you looking for something new and different to read? Do you fancy Fiction or are you do you need Non-fiction?

If you answered yes to any of the above join us for a regular monthly book club to meet new people and discuss all sorts of different books. We are always keen to read a new genre, story, background, or country setting. All book tips and suggestions are welcome! We meet on the first Monday of the month at different locations in Amsterdam. September: A gentleman in Moscow

Gollem aan het water

This is a novel about a man who is ordered to spend the rest of his life in a luxury hotel. Set in 1920’s Moscow this novel promises to offer a humours look at one of the most tumultuous decades in recent Russian history. I suspect we may also find it quite relatable given the “lockdown” period we’ve come through. RSVPs will open 10 days prior to the event.

October book club: The Silent Patient

Gollem Aan Het Water

"A mix of Hitchcockian suspense, Agatha Christie plotting, and Greek tragedy" - The Enterainment Weekly "Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening her husband Gabriel returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face, and then never speaks another word." Hopefully this book is as "unputdownable" as promised. Read the book, and then come along to share your thoughts, likes and dislikes. Fingers crossed we can meet in person in October. If not, we'll meet online. RSVP's open one week prior to the event.
