Wat we doen
There is a lot of talk about deep learning and artificial intelligence but true AI comes about only via "embodiment". I am an astrophysicist (PhD, U of Groningen) turned Neuroscientist, currently researching (via experiments and modelling) how the human brain understands the actions of others. WIthin a few months I will start a full time job as a researcher in deep learning. I would like to propose this group for anyone who is interested in integrating state-of-the-art in AI/machine learning with Real Robots. Example activity could be (a) following the capstone project on coursera on Robotics, (b) the purchase of NAO Robots (depending on size of group), (c) programming these Robots to do some fun things, especially develop new learning algorithms. This is the rough idea, any modifications are welcome! Any NAO developers out there??
