Step into the world of Japanese tea culture and learn the art of preparing Matcha and Hojicha during this hands-on, energizing workshop at our Moychay.nl tea culture club at the Rozengracht 92H
Whether you're a matcha lover, a beginner, or simply curious about new mindful rituals, this is your chance to connect with tea in a deeper, more meaningful way. In this lively and welcoming session, we’ll introduce you to two stars of Japanese tea:
• Matcha – the vibrant green powdered tea known for its energy, focus, and rich umami flavor.
• Hojicha – a smooth, roasted green tea with a naturally sweet and comforting taste, perfect for a caffeine-light boost.
You'll not only taste, but also learn how to prepare matcha traditionally using a bamboo whisk (chasen) and tea bowl (chawan), following essential steps from the Japanese tea tradition. We'll show you how to create a perfect, frothy matcha, and also teach you how to turn your matcha into a delicious matcha latte or refreshing matcha-based drink.
