I’m a local (Woodland) freelance, front-end developer who needs to keep learning more about WordPress. And one of the best ways to learn is to share what I’m learning with others. It’s also only fair that we give back as much as we consume. So, I am willing to commit to a few things for this group in 2014. I can see about doing more later in the year.

I can sponsor at least one meeting financially. 

I am also willing to present at least once in 2014. The topics I’m thinking of to choose from are

• An introduction to the app DesktopServer by ServerPress.com
• A review of the points Benjamin Bradley makes in one of his “Installing WordPress the Right Way” videos. http://webdesign.com/library
• Integrating Bootstrap’s Responsive menu with WordPress’s. This one I still have to learn.

I would also like to suggest an additional kind of meetup; a One on One Help Workshop. More experienced WordPress people could be available to help less experienced people with particular questions. I would be will to help at one of these.

I hope this helps and inspires others. I am your classic, introverted developer so it’s not easy to speak in front of a group. Fortunately, I love coding and talking to fellow coders so much, it makes the effort worthwhile.
