Kayaking in the Utrecht Canals

Join us for a lovely round through the Utrecht canals! This is a great way to see Utrecht from a different angle and have a cute urban adventure!

The trip will take 1.5 - 2 hours, depending on how fast we go.

For who is this:
Anybody with a reasonably physical fitness. Kayaking isn't difficult, but you'll be using your muscles in ways that you will probably not be used to so expect tiredness during the trip and potentially sore muscles the next day.

When:
Thursday 31 July

Time:
18.00. I'll be there from 17.50 onward. If you're late we leave without you.
Expect to be back by about 20.00

Where:
We meet at the top of the stairs at the Utrecht Canoe Rental, Oudegracht 275, Utrecht.

Costs:
We will be renting kayaks from the Utrecht Canoe Rental (https://kanoverhuurutrecht.nl/ ). These are 10 Euro per hour, so something like 20 Euro for the whole trip. You will need to pay this afterwards at the venue

What to bring:

• Weather appropriate clothing
• Sunscreen
• A bottle of water

Other practicalities:

• It is all but impossible to flip the kayak or fall out. But if you want you can get a safety vest at the rental place, for free
• You can also get a waterproof bag at the rental place (again, free)

In case of bad weather:
The event will be cancelled
