As Soup As Possible is a project created by me, Angelica Vigilante to collect stories, (food-)travel notes, articles, and recipes.
The title is inspired by soup as a universal symbol of care, warmth, and nurture. Across cultures and cuisines, soup is synonym with turning a variable mix of diverse elements into something comforting and delicious, while limiting food waste. As Soup As Possible, including this Meetup group, shares all those values. It stands firmly against sexism, racism, fascism, and all forms of suprematism, discrimination, and exploitation, while promoting dialogue, connection, care, conviviality, and knowledge-sharing.

Our get-togethers will always involve good food, and speak to what food is about: not just eating and nutrition, but primarily community mixed with identities, heritage mixed with exploration, personal memories entangled with global issues, family recipes crossed with new flavours, (bio)diversity and the environment, as well as the knowledge of food makers, professional chefs and passionate home cooks alike.
