Walking meditations on Tao Te Ching
Details
Dear friends
During this event we will concentrate on verses from chapter 26 of Tao Te Ching. We will reflect together this chapter and then will go for a 20 minute walking meditation in the park!!
Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu is a chinese classical text with 81 verses of wisdom. Though Tao Te Ching has been interpreted subjectively according to who is reading it, for a seeker on the path of wisdom it is a wonderful and precise guide to the process of becoming an enlightened being, to accomplish, within oneself, a high level of spiritual cultivation.
Verse 26 of Tao Te Ching
"Heavy is the root of light.
Tranquility is the master of agitation.
Therefore the sage travels
without leaving sight of his origin.
Although there are beautiful things to admire
he is indifferent to them.
He is like a lord of the thousand chariots
yet he takes himself lightly.
To act too hastily is to lose one’s root.
Hasty action will make us lose our self-mastery."
I welcome you towards a fruitful reflection and meditation experience!!
