The Champlain Maker Faire Makers in the Dark! is taking place at Shelburne Farms.

See and learn about the latest in drone technology for photography, cinematography, search/rescue, mapping/surveying, engineering, and inspection.

You're also welcome to stop by and say hello and ask questions about drones. We can provide advice on how to get started in the hobby and racing, explain the FAA requirements/guidelines, drone capabilities, usages, technology/specifications, precautions/responsible usage, privacy, etc.

Find out more about how you can participate in FPV drone racing in Vermont.

Our Indoor Drone Expo (Air Show) starts at 6:30pm.

If you're not familiar, A Maker Faire brings together families and individuals to celebrate the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset and showcase all kinds of incredible projects. At Maker Faire, you’ll find arts and crafts, science and engineering, food and music, fire and water but what makes this event special is that all these interesting projects and smart, creative people belong together. They are actively and openly creating a maker culture.

This is a fun event for All Ages!

Please RSVP and join us at the Faire!

Call for Volunteers - Get A Free Ticket to the Maker Faire!

Northern New England Drone User Group needs some volunteers for this event.

Help set up on Friday, and/or 8 or 9am Saturday Sunday and/or tear down/clean up at 4pm Saturday. We will also need some volunteers to help during the event.

We especially need a few people from 11am-2pm on Saturday during our demos. We could also use additional volunteers at 2pm to 4pm on Saturday.

If you commit to at least two hours you'll get a free ticket to the Faire.

You may volunteer to staff our Fly a Drone space, where we will allow everyone to fly the Micro/Mini Quads or our info table where our focus is to promote the safe and responsible usage of drones. No experience or knowledge is necessary! We'll show you what to do.

All volunteers are encouraged to bring and show off their drones and talk with attendees and answer their questions.

Please ask [arm twist!] your children (ages 15 and up) and/or spouses/partners/friends! Need community service hours for school? Bring your form or letter to be signed.

If you'd like to volunteer please email st5e4ve at n3ne21du8g dot o42r2g (remove all numbers) your availability and desired tasks.
