What is your passion in photography? Any specialties or favorite subject?

B and W of just about anything. I enjoy landscapes, but I would really like to become comfortable with shooting portraits that truly let the viewer see and feel the subject.

What level of photographer do you consider yourself (amateur, hobbyist, freelance, serious, professional, camera collector, semi-pro, shutterbug, etc.)?

Serious amateur. Have sold a few photos, asked to do a few personal shoots. Back in the film days, I have entered a few competitions.

What type of events do you want to participate in with NoCo Pro Photo?

What equipment do you use?

Canon 7D, Nikon D200 for digital. When doing film, Nikon N80, old Toyo View Camera, and have used an oatmeal container pinhole. Use a 580 speedlite on and off camera, and have occasionally used multiple speedlites or continuous lights for head shots.

What is your website, if you have one?

No answer yet

Serious amateur, but wouldn't quit my day job. I have been shooting for most of my life in some fashion. Although I enjoy the wet darkroom and B/W the most, I've switched to digital. I'm looking to improve the impact and creative side of my shooting.

What Dave G. is saying about this Meetup Group

Have attended two critique sessions and had great discussion and suggestions in a helpful and jovial ambience. Hope to make it to some of the group shoots. You can never have too many Daves!
