2013 is upon us and its time to for our next NodeDC meetup!
We are meeting at good ole' Stetson's, but not on Trivia night (so no noise downstairs) on Wed 1/23 at 7pm (presentations start at 7:20).
We have four great presentations lined up:
William Bert (@williamjohnbert (https://twitter.com/williamjohnbert/)) from SpanishDict (http://www.spanishdict.com/) will be walking through the basics of building and launching a production Node service - “Zero to Node: Node.js in Production”.
Evan Oxfeld (@evanoxfeld (http://twitter.com/evanoxfeld)) from Near Infinity (http://www.nearinfinity.com) will give an overview on what’s new in Node streams and some insights on writing stream libraries.
Jonathan Altman (@async_io (https://twitter.com/async_io)) will walk through the details of using npm to intelligently handle package dependency and environment requirements.
Brian Link from Terra Eclipse (http://www.terraeclipse.com/) will be demonstrating amino (https://github.com/amino/amino), their toolkit for building clusterable, fault-tolerant apps.
