Upcoming meetups -- your feedback is valued :)

Tonight Carlos Fuentes will give the annual Great Writers lecture at Tulane University -- McAlister Hall (off Freret). 7pm/free. His writing style has been described as magic realism.
I'll be seated in the front, very soon after 6. I can save seats, if you email me at [address removed] or call at[masked]-9049.
Last time I attended, Toni Morrison was the speaker. What a treat!
We meet again this third Saturday to discuss THE SHADOW OF THE WIND.
Based on a few discussions with regular participants, here are my proposals for the next three months. Please feel free to comment and/or suggest alternate titles -- for real soon or for later.
-- May: THE GREAT GATSBY by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
-- June: UNACCOSTUMED EARTH by Jhumpa Lahiri (short stories). Got Pulitzer Prize for another set of short stories. Wrote THE NAMESAKE. Recently appointed by Barak Obama.
-- July: ENDURING LOVE by Ian McEwan.
(Then maybe a long novel for August or September...)
Before I let you go... We are also starting a few other series. One of books and food, one on short stories, one on science fiction, on or two on non-fiction. Any input is welcome :))
Those new groups and sub-groups will meet at new times of the week and new locations.
