What we're about

Are you looking to network with interesting people while learning a few new ways to design engaging online experiences? Join us!

What passed as “ok” in March and April 2020 has become less tolerated now and will soon be unacceptable. This is the time to get 5% better and learn how to keep getting 5% better – continuous improvement

To help you do that, since mid-March, I've been hosting free weekly #NoMoreBadZoom Virtual Happy Hour every Friday at 5pm ET.

During the first 75 minutes, I share Zoom tips and facilitate several breakout rooms so you can network with other participants. A guest speaker joins us every other week. I wrap up the event with over 45 minutes of Q&A.

Join in whenever you can and stay as long as you'd like.

Over 1,100 people have signed up so we always have a good crowd of 50-60 at each event.

Did I mention we have a lot of fun each week?

If you'd like to join us, look for this week's event and register on Zoom to receive the Zoom link.

Join once or every week.

As a Virtual Event Design Consultant and Executive Zoom Producer, I help national and statewide advocacy organizations strategically bring their events online. My clients include the California WIC Association, Feeding America, Visiting Nurse Service of New York, Association of Talent & Development chapter, The National At-Home Dad Network, the California Notary Symposium, and the U.S. Embassy in Mexico.

This group was formerly Socializing for Justice, a group I founded in 2006 and ran for 11 years. As more SoJusters started showing up at my weekly #NoMoreBadZoom Virtual Happy Hour I realized converting this group was a great way to reconnect and stay connected. Thanks for all the amazing memories!

#NoMoreBadZoom Virtual Happy Hour

Online event

I look forward to this event every week because this amazing community rejuvenates me.

One of my participants said, "I go to Robbie's Virtual Happy Hour each week to recover from the Zoom fatigue I experience all week."

That's how much fun we have. Music, good people, learning - all the ingredients of a great event.

*Who attends?* Entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial-minded people, authors, speakers, consultants, coaches, podcast hosts, people with or wanting online courses.

That's what they do, but what you're probably wondering is "who are these people?" They are the most generous, warm, and encouraging community.

*How many usually attend?* 50-60 participants (over 1,100 have registered for this weekly series)

25-30% are new each week so you definitely won't be the only new participant.

50% have attended 8 or more times.

20% have attended 18 or more times and plan their week around this event.

*What happens at these events?*

Welcome and 10-minute training/update on something related to Zoom.

Then a quick breakout room exercise where we share our win/win (a personal and a professional win) followed by either a longer breakout room with a prompt or a 20-minute presentation from a guest speaker.

Then a 15-minute breakout session with 12 rooms labeled with specific topics and the ability to roam between rooms.

And the event wraps up with me answering Q&A for over 45 minutes.

Yes, all of this is free and I host this every single week.

Join once or every week. Sign on when you can and stay as long as you'd like.

*Don't forget to register on Zoom to receive the Zoom link.*

See you on Fridays!
