Wednesday Evening Walk - Richmond Beach, Innis Arden - Shoreline

Our last couple of weeks we have walked along the water.  It is sunset time at about the time we walk now so let's continue in this theme for a few weeks.  Walks with sound or lake views with the possibility of a sunset.

This week let's walk the Richmond Beach/Innis Arden Neighborhoods.  We will use the Richmond Beach Congregational Church as a starting point and depending on the weather/tide conditions may walk towards the Beach park and walk the bluff and/or walk the streets of Innis Arden overlooking the sound.

Maybe we can find this little area I never knew about: Strandberg Preserve:

or Innis Arden Reserve Open Space:

There will be hills and we may have to climb the stairs once, but there are also great views to be had and a possibility of walking on the beach.  We will take it easy and not leave anybody behind.

Perfect evening to watch the sun setting in the west and the full moon rising in the east. We enjoyed some beach time, were able to find the little, hidden wooded sanctuary for a quick walk through, and took a leisurely stroll along the bluff to enjoy the views.(I won't mention the 188 stairs we had to climb). Not much distance covered tonight but sometimes it is good to take your time, take a deep breath and just revel in the experience. Thanks for coming out this evening.

I'm going to try to join you. The weather will be perfect - and the company too! I hope I can find you.

The directions are correct, except you don't turn right on 190th(that takes you along the top bluff where there is no parking) you head straight through the gates (at the intersection of 190th and 20th)and take the first right into the parking lot.
From Aurora Ave head west on 185th, which turns into Richmond Beach Drive which turns into 195th. Turn Left(south) on 20th and drive to park.
I think that it is well signed and you shouldn't miss it.
Look for the blue hyundai tucson in the parking lot. Should be a stunning evening.

Kathy I believe your map is giving the wrong location to the entrance to the park. I go down to Richmond Beach quite often and the only road entrance to the park is a right from 195th st NW onto 20th Ave and you head straight into the park and the first lot is on the right.

I have changed the meeting place from the church to the Richmond Beach Saltwater Park. Meet in the uppermost parking lot (just past the entrance gate)
