Wednesday Evening Walk-Forest Park, Everett

Daylight savings time, spring and summer, evening walks. The extra light gives us more options and the opportunity to explore park trails as well as surrounding neighborhoods.  We will be able to see things we don't usually get to see on our dark winter evening walks.

We may be walking on trails in parks and probably some neighborhoods surround the parks. The paths may be muddy, dusty, uneven and rocky in places.  Come prepared with proper footwear - no flip flops or crocs.  There may be some uphill and down but I will try not to make it too strenuous and if you have difficulty let me know and I may be able to provide an alternate route.  We will walk 3-5 miles, in about 1.5 to 2 hours (starting promptly at 7 we will be done by 9pm)

This week we will hike some trails in Forest Park and then stroll through some neighboring streets to. There are views and mansions along the way.

Forest Park

This 197-acre wooded park is Everett's oldest and largest park. It is home to the Parks and Recreation Department administration offices, recreation office, Swim Center, playground, picnic shelter, wooded trails and Animal Farm. The Rotary Centennial Water Playground opened at Forest Park in July 2007.

Location
802 E. Mukilteo Blvd.
Everett, WA 98203

Dogs in attendance must be leashed and have their owner present.

No children under the age of 12, unless they are in a stroller.

We will make it a priority to walk as a group.  Paces may be a little different but I will stop along the way for others to catch up.  Everybody needs to watch out for others.  Let somebody know if you need a break or are going to turn around/

Please check email or this site the day of the event for any last minute changes or cancellations due to weather, road closures, illness, etc.  I will try to post last minute details by 7am.

See you all later. Look for my blue Hyundai Tucson in the upper parking lot, near the playground area. We start pretty much right at seven so try to be on time.

Completely forgot to look at my calendar and ended up triple booked for the night. Hopefully we can join in the summer. We're starting up puppy classes again on Wednesday nights in 2 weeks.
