Canyon Lake - Boulders & Tortilla Creek

Very excited about this outing! This is a very scenic area where you often see wildlife. Since most of this will be in areas restricted to boats the water is often glassy like in the picture above. Easy paddle for beginners. Definitely bring your camera, the way the glassy water reflects the sky and rocks can be breaking. It is best at the golden hour.

Meet at Boulders recreation Canyon Lake parking lot at noon.

After we head out we will explore Tortilla Creek then take a quick jaunt to explore the Boulders section.

Depending on how fast the group moves we should be finishing up about the time the restaurant and bar opens that is on the water just down the road. Those that are interested can meet for a beverage and food.

Bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, pdf. I will bring a spare pump. You also need a Tonto pass to park, you can get them at a convenience store. Bring food for the ducks as well.
