International Film Series - The Angel's Share

The North Vancouver Community Arts Council and the Toronto International Film Festival Group proudly present the North Shore International Film Series.

Determined to straighten out his life and settle down with his pregnant girlfriend, Robbie narrowly manages to avoid more jail time by agreeing to community service. While serving the sentence, he meets Rhino, Albert and Mo who also can’t find work because of their criminal records.
On a trip to a whiskey distillery, Robbie hatches a plan for the finest malt whiskies to change their situation. Robbie’s newly discovered palate leads him and the crew to a strange new world and the biggest gamble of their lives. The Angels’ Share is whimsical, light-hearted and freewheeling — but like any good whisky, it’s still got a bit of a kick.
United Kingdom // English 101 minutes

Films are screened at Park & Tilford CO Theatre, 333 Brooksbank Ave, North Vancouver.
Prices: $11/film; $36/season series package.
Buy tickets and see trailer here:

Company was excellent, the movie not so much. Most people found it very hard to follow the Glasgow patter so a lot of the movie dialogue was lost. Great memories of my time in Glasgow and the Scottish highlands though.

Just a reminder to any of our newer members, if you do not have a clear picture posted you will have to find me as I will not be able to recognize you. I will be standing across from the concession stand in front of the arcade from 630 - 640pm. I do not wait for latecomers.
See you at the movies Lisa

Sorry, there is a huge chance that I won't be able to attend. Going to the Whitecaps game, doubt whether I would make it on time. Next time!
