Monthly Vegan Life Support Dinner

  • Dec 5, 2013 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Our next Vegan Life Support dinner is at Mandy and KJ's house from 6:30-8:30 pm (These VLS dinners are the first Thursday of every month). The Compassionate Living Outreach core team along with some experienced vegan cooks will be providing the food. If you've been to a few of these VLS dinners, please bring a favorite vegan dish to share.  No one else is obligated to bring food.

To conserve resources and cut down on trash, please bring your own plate, bowl, cup, napkin and utensils.  We greatly appreciate your support in this.

We will have a short cooking demo, eat dinner, enjoy dessert, and then have a check-in time where everyone that wants to can talk a bit about where they are with making more conscious food choices.

Non-vegans are particularly welcome. We want to offer support for each person in creating a more healthy compassionate dietstyle. Please feel free to bring a friend to try this tasty vegan food.

We offer a mentor program for anyone who would like weekly contact and support for creating a plant-based dietstyle.

The dinner will officially conclude at 8:30 pm but at that time, we will put water on the stove for tea. Anyone interested in talking in a more relaxed environment is welcome to stay for tea and talk, with no set end time.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to try so many vegan dishes. They were all absolutely delicious! I also liked having a chance to talk with other people who care about many of the same issues that concern me.

Friendly reminder to all who attended: If you brought a dish to the potluck please email me the recipe so I can get them out to everyone. Email: [masked]

Thanks to Mandy for hosting the great dinner and congratulations!
Tzu Chi Santa Rosa Service Center at 1615 Cleveland is a potential place for future vegan dinners.

Oh no, was this the last vegan dinner? I wanted to come but never made it which is sad since I live down the street.

Sorry to hear that, I never got the opportunity to enjoy this. Seems like I read of more bummer news every day. Guess I should watch an episode of Doomsday preppers.

Yes, kind of a bummer for us but it is good news for Mandy so we should be happy for her, at least!

Thanks so much for hosting this nice dinner, Mandy. Sorry that it will be the last one at your house, but congrats on your engagement!

I'm sorry to back out at the last minute; I took a friend on some errands, which I thought would be quick, and it took six hours. I just can't face going back out again this evening. Next time.
