Northbay Vegan Book Club

You’re invited to be a part of Sonoma County Vegan book club. We’ll select the most interesting and informative books out there to read and discuss. Our hope is that these meetings will help us solidify our commitment to eat plant-based and perhaps give us the knowledge to lead a few meat eaters to a healthier, kinder way of eating.

Our first meeting was held on Tuesday, November 5th and we discussed Chapters 1-9.  This week, be prepared to discuss Chapters 10-19.  We will be in the dinning area of the Codding Town Whole Food’s Market and continue every other Tuesday after that.

Our first selection will be “My Beef with Meat” by Rip Esselstyn, author of the best selling “Engine 2 Diet” book. Neal Barnard, MD wrote “This book is one of the most enlightening and practical books you’ll ever read. Rip tackles every key health issue and provides exactly the information readers need to achieve the best of health and peak performance.”

It is my husband's birthday and decided we are going to celebrate tonight, but I have the book on order from Copperfield's for next week. Please tell Copperfield's about our book club, they have a special discount for book clubs. We would need at least 5 members.

Ilona, if you have a kindle - I think you can get it that way - or you can get it through Amazon or Copperfields

Just come anyway, for the discussion if you can't get the book by Tuesday

Do you have a list of discussion questions/themes or will this be a free-style discussion?

We go through the book, chapter by chapter then do a review of the material covered at the end of the evening. Please come prepared to discuss what stood out to you or created a question in your mind that you would like the group to discuss.
