Two Northbay Screenings
This meetup is for the screening at Lydia's Sunflower Center but there is also a screening in San Rafael on Aug 12. Check http://www.meetup.com/marin-vegan/events/198208422/ for details or call[masked]-4191.

At both screenings you'll have a chance to meet the film's producer, Janet McKee.

The film chronicles Bethany’s illness starting at age 13 from onset to recovery and includes heart-wrenching and ultimately revelatory accounts from her friends and family. Understanding and witnessing some of the incredible challenges this family encountered truly shows the impact serious health issues have on everyone. Hearing the scientific facts presented by all of the medical experts brings this solution fully to the forefront.

The film “Bethany’s Story”, produced by the non-profit health and wellness organization SanaView, documents a girl’s illness from its onset to recovery. It reveals how food, not medication, consistently proves to be a dominant factor in healing and reversing illness and disease. Illustrating these points are interviews with leading medical and nutrition experts such as Neal Barnard, MD, founder of Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine; Michael Greger, MD, founder of NutritionFacts.org; Gabriel Cousens, MD; Dr. Brian Clement; Brenda Davis RD, and Lewis Mehl-Madrona, MD. As Dr. Gabriel Cousens states in the film, “These are not miracles. We have the science that makes it very clear,” shows that this is not just an anecdotal account of one odd story, but a scientifically proven solution. Dr. Brian Clement states that raw foods is not a fad but a proven solution that is here to stay.
