The WORD is out, n' spreading!
Their major issue is that they have tons of donations, and not even close enough amount of volunteers, to sort useable vs. recycle goods. J Law does, can you?
The Wish Project is a non-profit dedicated to providing free furniture, home goods, baby goods, and clothing to people in need in the Merrimack Valley, primarily through reuse and recycling. They serve thousands of people each year, and rely on the help of many volunteers. Let's be some of those volunteers! We'll take on whatever task they need on this day, but generally it involves sorting and organizing donations so they can be given out to clients. Children ages 8+ are welcome to join the effort. It's a great opportunity to teach your kids compassion in a very hands-on way.
If you are bringing children, please make a note in the comments section so I can give the Wish Project an accurate count of adults and kids who will be attending.
*PLEASE NOTE: When you RSVP 'yes' it becomes a commitment. I am in contact with the volunteer coordinator, Patty, whom is now a member, giving her a head count. She then creates a list of things that need to be done -relying upon the number of volunteers. If your plans change, please be considerate -take a moment to update your RSVP to 'no.' It's very simple- and greatly appreciated! Thanks :)
Hey NSS, join the conversation!
